Trust Yourself.
Saying, “the last time I trusted someone, I got hurt, so from now, on, I’m never trusting again from the start. Trust must be earned,” is like never eating again after food poisoning unless each and every meal is subjected to poison testing first.
You’d have to wait.
You’d be hungry.
You may almost starve.
And then what would happen is you’d grab the first thing that looked edible.
Instead, take a small bite.
Take a small chance.
If that chance feels right, take another.
Trust yourself.
Trust your intuition.
Trust your eyes and ears.
Wisdom makes a better shield than pain ever could.
Allow yourself to be.
They may have taken some of your past, but don’t let them also take your present and future.
