Keep the Qualities, Change the Methods.

Giving, trusting, loving.

Those are amazing qualities that make the world a better place.

Self-deprivation, ignoring red flags, and allowing yourself to be taken advantage of.

Those are poor methods of demonstrating those amazing qualities.

Don't give up the qualities. But do change the methods to include yourself, your feelings, and your intuition in them, too.
