Overdoing
Overdoing removes consequence and impedes a person’s judgment to learn and prevent the same from happening again.
If you find you’re always fixing another person’s mistakes over and over again and wishing they’d stop repeating them and learn, it means you need to quit removing the consequences for them.
Allowing them to live the consequences of their choices and actions is the only way for them to learn the association between the two. It is actually a kinder thing to do.
A person isn’t taught responsibility nearly as well as when they learn for themselves by doing.
